Marine Incident in McCrae
Marine Safety Victoria will undertake a thorough investigation to determine the cause of a commercial vessel grounding at McCrae on Friday 9 May. The findings of the independent investigation will be assessed by the Director of Marine Safety in relation to any aspect of commercial safety regulation as set out in the Marine Act 1988. | |

New Boat Ramp Improves Safety
Boating on the Campaspe River is now safer and more accessible following the opening of a new boat ramp in Rochester. Lisa Faldon of Marine Safety Victoria recently opened the new ramp, which was funded through MSV’s Boating Safety and Facilities Program and the Shire of Campaspe. The ramp is expected to provide safer access to the river for recreational boaters, anglers, community/school groups as well as search and rescue organisations. | |
