The Online Sea Time Calculator is a web-based tool that assists you to calculate qualifying service required for obtaining particular certificates of competency for commercial vessels. It also assists you to self-assess your eligibility to apply for those certificates of competency and produce a report on your eligibility. You may print and submit this report to Marine Safety Victoria together with any other documentation Marine Safety Victoria may require assessing your application for a certificate of competency.
Please note the Sea Time Calculator is not a guarantee that sea time will be accepted and the Director of Marine Safety Victoria holds final discretion over the issuing of a certificate of competency.
